About Me

Local Central Valley music legend Roddy Jackson is regarded by music historians as one of the early pioneers of rock & roll. He was one of the original members of the Merced Blue Notes, the first rock & roll band in Central California and recorded several singles in 1957 through 1959 for Specialty Records in Hollywood. He is in demand by fans world-wide as a performer in vintage rock & roll music festivals and as a jazz musician. Now he offers music courses remotely, for a variety of instruments.
